Today was a great food day. I love trying new recipes and I got to try 3 new ones, better yet, they were all fantastic! I must share them with you or it would not be fair. Here we go!

Braised Chicken Thighs with Mushrooms and Bacon
I also was able to try out a new recipe for dinner. My dad was out of town, so I had my mom over...really it just gave me an excuse to cook something nice instead of mac 'n cheese and carrot sticks. Sugar Cookie Bars
No dinner is complete without a great dessert and my kids gave this 2 thumbs up. Check out Jamie's blog, My Baking Addiction, for the recipe. I ran out of vanilla extract so I replaced it with almond extract. Quite delectable!
