Get Inspired!

I did some shopping at www.thetopstitch.com this morning and ordered some mushroom "Woodland" prints. Not sure how I will use them, but know they will be used and loved! Some of the fabrics I purchased are seen above...fall mushrooms and snails print. Oooohhh, I can't wait to get them. Maybe I will take a chance and attempt a quilt, I'll talk to Julie Herman first!

On a side note, I came across this website site, www.littlecherubsheirloom.com, and found way too many fantastic fabrics. I love that there is such a variety to choose from, but it makes it oh so hard for the sewer. Check it out and get inspired!

Back in the Saddle!

The last time I sewed was almost 7 years ago. I made coordinating crib bumpers, crib skirts and crib blankets for my son and daughter. I made them from scratch, no pattern needed! I finally got back into sewing and decided to make a fall hobo bag from a pattern...boy do I prefer making it up as I go, but non-the-less I came to the finish line. So loving the bold yellow lining. Can't wait to use my new bag and look forward to completing a dress for my daughter's birthday!
